
FF57 hardened helical gear reducer is a widely used F-series parallel shaft gearbox for industrial transmission. Noise and vibration performance are core indicators to judge its operation stability and service life. This article introduces the noise and vibration level standards of the FF57 hard tooth surface gear reducer for reference in model selection, factory acceptance and daily equipment maintenance.
For noise measurement, the test adopts A-weighted sound pressure level dB(A), measured at a distance of 1 meter from the reducer under no-load condition. The standard noise value of FF57 hardened gear reducer is ≤75~80 dB(A). For low-noise precision working conditions, customized units can reach ≤72 dB(A). It should be noted that the actual noise will change with input speed, working load, base rigidity and coupling alignment. The noise level under full load is generally slightly higher than the no-load test data.
Vibration evaluation follows ISO 10816-3 mechanical vibration standard, and the vibration velocity RMS value in mm/s is detected at the bearing housing of the gearbox casing. The classification is as follows. Grade A (new unit excellent state): vibration ≤2.8 mm/s. Normal allowable range: 2.8~4.5 mm/s. Warning range: 4.5~7.1 mm/s, equipment inspection is recommended immediately. Dangerous range: above 7.1 mm/s, continuous operation is forbidden.
In actual application, poor shaft alignment and insufficient base stiffness will greatly increase vibration and noise. Users need to carry out regular inspection and calibration to keep the FF57 gear reducer running within the standard vibration and noise range, reduce gear and bearing wear, and extend the service cycle of the transmission system. Gear unit acceptance can also refer to GB/T 6404.1-2018 standard for comprehensive verification.
