How to improve the impact of high or low working environment temperature on CWU200 50 IIIF worm gear reducer from the perspective of environmental transformation

1、 First, clarify the temperature boundary of the CW series The working environment temperature of CW series circular cylindrical worm reducer (CWU worm at the bottom, CWS worm at the side, CWO worm at the top) is generally -40~40 ℃; When the ambient temperature is below 0 ℃, the lubricating oil must be heated to above 0 ℃ before starting; When the ambient temperature exceeds 40 ℃, cooling measures must be taken. So the core idea of "environmental renovation" is to push the on-site environmental temperature back to this range as much as possible, and when it cannot be pushed back, compensate with local means. 2、 Environmental renovation on the high-temperature side

1. Improve overall ventilation and airflow organization in the workshop The heat dissipation effect of the gearbox decreases in high temperature environments, and blocked ventilation openings or improper installation positions can exacerbate overheating; You can speed up heat dissipation by installing fans and adding heat sinks, while keeping the surroundings clean and avoiding dust accumulation that affects heat dissipation. Arrange the gearbox to avoid heat sources (furnace body, steam pipes, direct sunlight) as much as possible, and ensure that there is sufficient heat dissipation space around the box.
2. Forced air cooling and localized cooling Forced air cooling is an external installation of fans that use forced airflow to remove surface heat, which is more effective than natural cooling, but has higher noise and requires regular maintenance; Liquid cooling (the coolant flows through the shell and takes away heat through a heat exchanger) has strong cooling ability and is suitable for high load and harsh working conditions, but it has a complex structure, higher cost and maintenance requirements.
3. External oil circulation refrigeration (more thorough in heavy load and high temperature scenarios) There is a practical case to refer to: the reducer of a mixed three belt conveyor in a sintering workshop had a high on-site environmental temperature and limited heat dissipation. In summer, the gear oil could reach up to 75 ℃. By installing an oil cooler to implement external circulation forced cooling of the gear oil, the oil temperature stabilized and dropped to around 40 ℃ after the transformation.
4. Temperature monitoring cover Temperature sensors can be installed for real-time monitoring, and in conjunction with protective devices, they can automatically reduce load or disconnect in case of overheating. Reference threshold: The normal oil temperature of the worm gear reducer is approximately 45-55 ℃. If the surface is hot and exceeds 90 ℃, it is considered abnormal and needs to be investigated. 3、 Environmental renovation on the low-temperature side
5. Preheating and insulation Before starting below 0 ℃, the lubricating oil must be heated to above 0 ℃. In engineering, local heating/warming devices can be installed near the gearbox, or insulation treatment can be applied to the casing and pipelines to reduce heat loss after shutdown.
6. Oil and accessories matching Low temperature working conditions (ambient temperature ＜ 10 ℃) should choose low pour point fully synthetic low-temperature special worm gear oil. When ＜ -10 ℃, synthetic worm gear oil should be selected according to the manufacturer's specifications. In terms of accessories, configurations such as heaters, temperature sensors, oil level mirrors, and vent plugs can be considered when selecting.
7. Anti condensation and freezing Cold storage and other damp and low-temperature places may experience condensation and freezing, requiring the use of heating belts to increase the internal temperature of the motor, and selecting different specifications of bearing grease and gear lubricating oil according to the ambient temperature.
