What are the requirements for ZSY gear reducers in humid environments
1. Improve the protection and sealing level of the shell
For humid environments, ZSY reducers with higher protection levels (such as IP65 or above) should be prioritized to ensure excellent sealing performance and effectively prevent moisture and dampness from entering the interior. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the moisture-proof sealing ring and other components of the reducer are intact. If necessary, drainage holes can be designed to reduce the impact of moisture on the internal gears and bearings.
2. Strengthen anti-corrosion materials and coating processes
To address the risk of corrosion caused by high humidity, the casing and important internal components of the gearbox should be coated with anti-corrosion coatings or undergo special treatments such as anodizing. In highly corrosive and extremely humid environments, it is recommended to directly choose gearbox models made of corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel to enhance the long-term adaptability of the equipment.
3. Optimize the lubrication system
A humid environment can easily cause lubricating oil to deteriorate, emulsify, and lose its lubricating effect. Therefore, it is necessary to choose water-resistant lubricating grease or oil suitable for high humidity environments. In addition, the inspection cycle of the lubrication system should be shortened, and the lubricating oil should be replaced regularly to ensure that the internal gears are always in good lubrication condition and reduce wear.
4. Strengthen the protection of electrical components
If the ZSY reducer is equipped with a motor or other electrical components, high humidity may cause short circuits or insulation failures. It is necessary to ensure that electrical components have good sealing measures, such as using waterproof junction boxes, cables with higher insulation levels, and if necessary, using pressurized inert gas protection for moisture-proof treatment.

5. Increase the frequency of daily inspections and maintenance
Under humid conditions, the maintenance frequency of equipment should be appropriately increased. Operators need to regularly check the operating status of the gearbox, with a focus on identifying issues such as water seepage, rust, poor lubrication, or abnormal vibration. Once the seal is damaged or there is water accumulation inside, the damaged parts should be cleaned and replaced in a timely manner to prevent the fault from expanding.
6. Improve the external operating environment
If conditions permit, it is recommended to actively control the humidity level of the environment where the gearbox is located by installing dehumidification equipment, etc., in order to reduce the adverse effects of high humidity on equipment performance and lifespan from the source.
