Is the speed of the winding machine reducer unstable?
1、 Fault cause analysis
1. Wear and looseness of internal mechanical components
Gear meshing problem: The gears or worm gears inside the reducer may experience severe wear and tear due to long-term operation, resulting in excessive meshing clearance and fluctuating speed during operation.
Key connection failure: The connection keys (such as flat keys or splines) between the motor and the reducer, or between the reducer and the load, become loose or worn, resulting in insufficient transmission torque and slipping.
Bearing damage: Internal bearing wear, excessive clearance, or ball breakage in the gearbox can cause the shaft system to shake, directly leading to unstable speed and abnormal vibration.
2. External transmission and connection issues
Abnormal coupling: The coupling between the motor and the reducer is loose, or the internal elastic body is damaged, making it unable to effectively transmit power.
Installation deviation: The coaxiality error between the input shaft and the output shaft is too large (installation misalignment), resulting in uneven force distribution, jamming, and speed fluctuations in the shaft system.
3. Poor lubrication and abnormal load
Lubrication problem: Insufficient, deteriorated or improperly selected lubricating oil can cause internal gears and bearings to be in a dry friction state, resulting in increased and unstable operating resistance.
Load fluctuation: During the operation of the winding machine, if the goods are overweight or there are foreign objects stuck at the bottom of the turntable, it will cause instantaneous overload, resulting in a decrease in speed or instability.
2、 One time solution
To thoroughly solve the problem of unstable speed, it is recommended to follow the following steps for systematic troubleshooting and repair:

1. Shutdown inspection and fastening connection
Check and tighten the coupling bolts between the motor and the reducer. If any damage is found to the elastic body, replace it immediately.
Check the flat keys or splines of each connecting part. If they are loose or worn, replace them with new keys and reassemble and tighten them.
Check the chain or belt at the bottom of the winding machine turntable, adjust it to the appropriate tightness (usually 1-2 centimeters can be pressed down by hand), and add lubricating oil.
