Product Description

1. Product Overview‑Modular AMI Induction Motors

The AMI engineered modular induction motors deliver high reliability and availability for the most demanding working conditions.

Custom‑built to satisfy individual customer and application requirements, this motor is developed on a proven modular industry platform. It fulfills diverse demanding operating requirements and supports highly‑specific configuration adaptation.

AMI modular induction motors conform to relevant international standards. Units are available for both direct‑on‑line (DOL) and variable‑speed drive (VSD) operation.

Adopting welded steel frame construction, AMI motors offer standard cooling & protection combinations: IC01 / IP24W, IC611 / IP55, IC81W / IP55. Standard shaft height ranges from 400 mm to 630 mm. Both horizontal and vertical mounting modes are supported.

Note: The catalogue technical data of AMI motors is shown at 50 Hz only; however the motors can run at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with synchronous speed ranging from 500 rpm to 3600 rpm. Catalogue‑covered output power reaches up to 8,000 kW, while the full product range extends to 23,000 kW.

IM B3 (IM 1001): Horizontal foot‑mounted
IM V1 (IM 4011): Vertical flange‑mounted (free shaft end facing downwards)

3. Enclosure & Cooling Options

IC01 / IP24W Weather‑protected design with shaft‑mounted internal cooling fan. The air‑inlet path is designed with multi‑angle sharp turns and limited inlet air velocity below 3 m/s to trap heavy particles. Prevents ingress of rain, snow and airborne particles into electrical components, and provides protection against splashing water from all directions.
IC611 / IP55 Totally‑enclosed structure fitted with air‑to‑air heat exchanger. Shaft‑driven fans are installed inside and outside the housing for internal and external cooling circuits respectively. Dust‑proof and resistant to splashing water from any direction.
IC81W / IP55 Totally‑enclosed motor equipped with air‑to‑water heat exchanger. Internal shaft‑mounted fan serves the inner cooling circuit. Provides full‑range dust and splash‑water protection.
IC31 / IP55 Comes with cooling‑air inlet and outlet pipes for remote cooling air supply. Based on AMI motor frame without top cover. Dust‑proof and splash‑water resistant.
IC01 Version with asymmetric internal air circulation.

4. Packaging

5. Warranty
