Is filtration required when lubricating the ZSY series gear reducers

1、 Core filtering requirements

New oil filling and filtration: Even if it is brand new and unopened qualified gear oil, a special 80-120 mesh filter must be used during the filling process to prevent trace impurities from entering the tank during storage and transportation of the oil.

Mandatory filtering in oil change scenarios: Before changing the oil, the new oil needs to be pre filtered to completely eliminate any particle impurities that may be carried in the new oil, prevent the gear meshing surface and bearing raceway from being scratched by hard abrasive particles, and avoid bearing burnout, tooth surface pitting, and other faults from the source.

Maintenance of supporting filter element: The oil filter element built into the reducer must be checked and cleaned every 1000-1500 hours of operation. If it is blocked or damaged, it should be replaced immediately to ensure the filtration effectiveness of the circulating lubrication path.

2、 Key points of supporting operations

Before refueling, it is necessary to clean the dust and oil stains around the refueling port to prevent external debris from entering the box during the refueling process.

Priority should be given to using L-CKD 220 # extreme pressure industrial gear oil. The filtered new oil must not be mixed with lubricants of different grades or types.

When forcibly changing the oil for the first 50 hours of operation, the new oil should also be filtered to thoroughly remove any metal debris generated during the running in stage.
