Wet weather during rainy season, moisture-proof and rust proof maintenance strategy for sizing machine reducer

1、 Core component lubrication and oil quality management

Shorten oil change cycle: In humid environments, the replacement cycle of gear oil should be shortened compared to conventional environments. It is recommended to shorten it from the conventional 6000-8000 hours to 3000-4000 hours.

Strictly prevent oil emulsification: Check the oil level window of the gearbox every week. If the oil is cloudy, white (emulsified), or abnormally high, it indicates that moisture has mixed in. Immediately replace the gear oil and thoroughly drain the old oil. Rinse the inside of the gearbox with new oil to remove residual emulsified oil and rust.

Choose water-resistant lubricating oil: Ensure the use of specialized gear oil (such as CLP series lubricating oil with appropriate viscosity) that is suitable for high humidity environments, has strong anti emulsification and anti rust and anti-oxidation additives, to form a tough protective oil film on metal surfaces.

Extra protection at the shaft end: Regularly apply a layer of calcium or lithium based grease on the input and output shaft ends (outside the oil seal) to protect the shaft extension end from rust.

2、 Inspection of sealing and ventilation system

Check key seals: Regularly inspect the skeleton oil seals, end cap seals, and drain plugs at the input and output shafts. After each disassembly inspection, the joint surface needs to be reapplied with oil resistant sealant (such as polytetrafluoroethylene sealant) to prevent water vapor from entering through the gaps.

Maintain breathable plug (respirator): Temperature changes during the operation of the gearbox can cause changes in internal air pressure, so it is necessary to check whether the breathable plug is unobstructed. It is recommended to install breathable plugs with desiccants or labyrinth structures to balance internal and external air pressure while blocking external moisture from entering, and regularly replace desiccants.

3、 Electrical and winding moisture-proof insulation

Moisture proof junction box: Open the junction box every quarter, wipe the moisture on the terminal block with a dry cloth, and reapply moisture-proof insulation grease; If rust is found on the terminal block, it should be replaced in a timely manner to avoid poor contact and heat generation.

Winding dehumidification and drying: If the insulation resistance of the motor winding is detected to be low, the "hot air drying method" (blowing the motor housing with 50-60 ℃ hot air for 2-4 hours) or "low voltage drying method" can be used to remove moisture. After drying, the insulation resistance must be retested until it is qualified.

Switch box protection: After long-term parking, before driving, it is necessary to remove the humid air and moisture inside the switch box before powering on. Keep the exhaust fan inside the switch box working normally and regularly clean the internal debris.

4、 Environmental control and daily operation and maintenance

Improve external environment: Try to keep the gearbox away from corrosive media such as acid, alkali, salt spray, etc., and avoid direct spraying of equipment flushing water. The workshop should be well ventilated and dehumidified, and if necessary, moisture-proof covers or rain shelters should be installed outside the gearbox.
