How to avoid impact on the output shaft of DCY160 reducer during installation

1. It is strictly prohibited to use violent installation methods such as hammering

When installing transmission components (such as gears, sprockets, pulleys, etc.) on the output shaft, it is absolutely forbidden to use tools such as hammers to directly strike the shaft end. Rough axial or radial forces can easily damage the planetary and helical gear structures inside the gearbox or cause bearing damage.

2. Adopt the correct press in assembly method

Installation should be carried out using assembly fixtures and internal threaded holes on the shaft end. By tightening the bolts with force, the transmission components are smoothly and gently pressed into the output shaft of the gearbox to protect the internal parts from impact. If conditions permit, the hot charging method with a heating temperature of ≤ 135 ℃ can also be used.

3. Reasonably control the tension of the belt

If the output shaft is directly equipped with a pulley, special attention should be paid to not applying too much tension, otherwise it may cause the bearing to burn out or the output shaft to bend. It is recommended to use a belt tension meter for control (e.g. micro motor ≤ 150N, medium motor ≤ 400N).

4. Ensure precise coaxiality alignment

During installation, it is necessary to ensure the alignment of the transmission center axis, and the alignment error must not exceed the compensation amount of the coupling used. For gear reducers such as DCY, inconsistent concentricity or eccentric installation can generate additional bending moments, which not only cause motor shaft breakage or gear wear, but also trigger chain failures such as resonance and uneven torque transmission.

5. Avoid using rigid fixed couplings

Try not to use rigid fixed couplings. This type of coupling is difficult to install, and improper installation can cause unnecessary external loads, which can easily lead to early damage to the bearings, and in severe cases, even directly cause the output shaft to break.

6. Pay attention to the load capacity of the output shaft

When there are protrusions in the transmission connecting parts, or when gears or sprockets are used for transmission and the radial load borne by the output shaft is large, a reinforced reducer should be selected, and the output bearing should have sufficient capacity to withstand dynamic and static loads.
