The correlation between rice mill reducer and rice milling accuracy: how to optimize rice milling effect through reducer

To optimize the rice milling effect through a reducer, the following core dimensions can be adjusted:

1. Accurately match the roller speed

The roller speed is a key parameter that determines the whitening effect. By adjusting the speed through a reducer or frequency converter, the precision and yield of rice milling can be balanced

The impact of high rotation speed: If the rotation speed is too fast, the movement speed of rice particles in the whitening chamber will increase, resulting in a decrease in fluid density, a decrease in whitening pressure, and a weakening of the wiping effect. On the contrary, it will make the whitening effect worse and the surface smoothness of rice particles insufficient. Meanwhile, high-frequency impacts can easily damage rice grains, leading to a significant increase in broken rice rates.

The impact of low rotation speed: Low rotation speed will weaken the axial pushing effect of rice grains, prolong the residence time, not only lead to a decrease in yield and an increase in power consumption, but also easily cause uneven whitening and decreased accuracy due to poor rolling performance.

Optimization suggestion: Reasonable speed should be set according to the type of rice mill. The rotational speed of a friction based rice mill is generally controlled below 1000r/min; The milling type rice mill is usually controlled at 1000-1500r/min. Research has shown that 850r/min is often the optimal parameter that balances energy consumption and whitening quality.

2. Adjust for different rice varieties

The physical characteristics of different rice grains have varying degrees of tolerance to grinding pressure, and differential adjustment is required through a reducer

Japonica rice: The texture is relatively compact, and the suitable rotation speed should be controlled at a relatively low 700-900r/min.

Indica rice: relatively weak toughness, the rotation speed can be adjusted to 900-1100r/min.

Optimization suggestion: Avoid a one size fits all speed setting and flexibly adjust the gearbox transmission ratio according to the variety of raw grains, which can effectively reduce the broken rice rate and ensure accuracy.

3. Adopting the "multi machine light rolling" process in combination

In large modern rice mills, it is usually not necessary to rely on high-intensity grinding with a single equipment, but to adopt the "multi machine light grinding" process:

Optimization suggestion: Use multiple rice mills in series and reduce the whitening pressure of each device through a reducer. This method of "low pressure, multiple rolling" can make the whitening effect of each layer more gentle, not only with uniform accuracy and low rice temperature, but also significantly reduce the broken rice rate and improve the polished rice rate.

4. Introduce intelligent frequency conversion control

Modern rice mills have gradually phased out traditional complex gear reducers and instead adopted variable frequency motors and intelligent control systems

Optimization suggestion: Use PLC control system or IoT module, combined with sensors to collect real-time data such as pressure, temperature, current, etc. in the grinding chamber, and use algorithms to automatically and real-time adjust the motor speed and grinding pressure. This dynamic optimization not only keeps the rice mill in its optimal operating state, but also achieves energy conservation and consumption reduction (reducing energy consumption by 30% -50%).

Summary: The core of optimizing rice milling efficiency through a reducer lies in "moderation". Operators need to follow the principle of "watching rice and hitting rice", control the speed within a reasonable range based on the variety, moisture content, and required accuracy of the rice, and cooperate with a stable feed flow rate and appropriate clearance between the milling chambers to achieve the ideal processing effect of high-precision and low broken rice.
