Special requirements for the reducer of the surface winding rewinder

1. Extremely high requirements for backlash control and positioning accuracy

The rewinding machine requires fast, smooth, and accurate positioning of paper during operation to ensure precise winding length and flat end face. Therefore, the gearbox must have extremely low backlash (return clearance). When the device switches between forward and reverse directions or frequently starts and stops, if the backlash is too large, it can cause the action of the motor end to not be immediately transmitted to the output end, resulting in a brief idle stroke, which can lead to quality problems such as uneven winding and tension fluctuations.

2. Excellent transmission rigidity and smooth operation

The surface winding rewinder has extremely high requirements for the rigidity of the transmission system under high-speed operation, frequent start stop or load (paper roll diameter) changes. If the rigidity of the reducer is insufficient, the equipment is prone to response lag, increased vibration, or positioning error fluctuations during operation, which directly affects the tightness uniformity and overall quality of the finished paper roll.

3. Accurate torque matching and overload capacity

As the diameter of the paper roll gradually increases during the rewinding process, the load torque of the equipment will continue to change. The reducer not only needs to have a rated output torque that meets the equipment requirements, but its instantaneous maximum torque must also be able to cover peak loads (such as impact torque during start-up and acceleration). If the torque is insufficient, the equipment may experience problems such as insufficient load capacity, unstable operation, or high temperature rise. It is usually recommended to maintain a safety margin of 1.2 to 1.5 times to cope with complex changes in operating conditions.

4. High transmission efficiency and temperature rise control

Modern rewinding machines are usually in continuous operation, with high requirements for energy consumption and equipment lifespan. Therefore, it is necessary to choose a gearbox with high transmission efficiency (such as a precision planetary gearbox with an efficiency of over 95%) to reduce energy loss and heat generation. At the same time, the reducer needs to have a good heat dissipation structure to ensure that the oil tank temperature does not exceed the standard during continuous operation at full load, thereby ensuring long-term stability.

5. Good dynamic response characteristics

Due to the need for high-speed bus synchronization and coordination between the various units of the rewinder (paper return, traction, bottom roller, winding, etc.), the reducer, as a key link in power transmission, must perfectly match the dynamic response speed of the servo control system to ensure that instructions can be quickly and accurately executed during speed difference adjustment and tension control processes.
