Failure to repair minor issues with the gearbox can lead to significant losses

Many farmers turn a blind eye to minor malfunctions in the reducer of their feed mixer, believing that minor noises, small oil leaks, and occasional lagging do not affect its use and do not need to spend money on repairs. Little do they know that these minor issues are warnings of equipment scrapping, and delaying repairs can cause a series of major losses, directly increasing breeding costs and affecting breeding progress.
1、 Firstly, slight wear and tear without proper treatment resulted in the complete machine being paralyzed. The gear of the reducer is slightly worn and lacks lubrication. In the short term, it only produces abnormal noise, but in the long term, it can lead to gear meshing failure, slipping and idling, resulting in the mixing shaft not rotating and equipment paralysis. Once the equipment is scrapped, it will be unable to complete feed mixing in the short term, which will delay the feeding of cattle and sheep, affect the feeding and growth of livestock, and result in reduced production and losses in breeding.

2、 Secondly, if oil leaks are not repaired in a timely manner, the cost of losses will double. Slight oil leakage from the gearbox not only causes wastage of gear oil, but also allows the oil to leak onto the surface of the feed and machine body, causing contamination with grass dust and accelerating component corrosion and wear. At the same time, the wear rate of the gearbox running without oil is greatly accelerated. The small problem of replacing the rubber ring with only a few tens of pieces eventually requires replacing the entire set of gears, bearings, or even the whole machine, and the maintenance cost is more than ten times higher.

3、 Finally, working with illness can pose safety hazards. When the gearbox is stuck or the load is abnormal, forced operation can easily lead to motor overload burning, transmission component breakage, equipment shaking and displacement, and in severe cases, it can cause equipment safety accidents, threatening the safety of operators. Frequent equipment trips and malfunctions can disrupt the rhythm of breeding and feeding, leading to irregular feeding habits for cattle and sheep, affecting feed conversion rates and breeding profits.

The maintenance of breeding equipment is no small matter, and every small malfunction of the reducer cannot be ignored. Timely maintenance and repair are necessary to avoid large losses and ensure stable breeding production.
