What are the precautions for installing a cooling device on the R47 gear reducer

Pre selection and matching of working conditions

Wind cooling adaptation scenario: For normal operating conditions with ambient temperature ≤ 40 ℃ and continuous heavy load operation, low-noise axial fans are preferred, with air volume selected as ≥ 1.5m ³/min · kW and noise controlled within 75dB.

Water cooling adaptation scenario: When the ambient temperature is ≥ 60 ℃ and high-temperature conditions such as metallurgy/mining are combined, stainless steel plate coolers are selected with a heat exchange area of ≥ 0.05m ²/kW and a pressure resistance of ≥ 1.0MPa.

Blind installation is prohibited: In scenarios where the ambient temperature is ≤ 35 ℃ and light load intermittent operation is required, natural heat dissipation alone can meet the needs. Additional installation may actually damage the original box sealing structure.

2、 Key requirements for installation and construction

Box drilling protection: When fixing the fan bracket in the box, the drilling depth should be strictly controlled within ≤ 5mm, and drilling through the box is absolutely prohibited to avoid oil leakage hazards.

Fan installation specifications: The fan should be aligned with the heat dissipation ribs of the housing, with a spacing of 50-100mm and a coaxiality error of ≤ 0.1mm. During operation, the overall amplitude of the machine should be ≤ 0.1mm to avoid vibration transmission to the bearings and further wear.

Water cooling pipeline requirements: The cooling water follows the principle of "bottom in and top out", and a 40 mesh filter is installed on the inlet pipe. Softened water is used as the medium, and the pH value is controlled between 6.5 and 8.5 to prevent scaling and blockage of the pipeline.

Reserved heat dissipation space: Leave a ventilation gap of ≥ 30cm around the reducer, away from external heat sources such as furnaces and boilers (distance ≥ 1 meter), to avoid blocking the heat dissipation channel and forming heat accumulation.

3、 Operation and maintenance protection

Electrical linkage design: The fan is linked to the gearbox motor, and after shutdown, the fan is delayed for 5 minutes to shut down, completely removing the waste heat from the box; Control circuit series thermal overload protection to prevent fan stalling and burnout.

Regular cleaning and inspection: Use compressed air to blow away dust and oil stains on the surface of the fan blades and cooling ribs every week. Tighten the installation bolts every 3 months to avoid dust accumulation and the formation of insulation layers, which can lead to a decrease in heat dissipation efficiency.

Temperature monitoring configuration: Install PT100 temperature sensors in the box or oil tank to monitor the oil temperature in real time. When the temperature exceeds the limit, it will automatically trigger an alarm or load reduction protection to avoid long-term operation at high temperatures.

Regular maintenance of water quality: The weekly sewage discharge of the water cooling system shall not be less than 5% of the total water volume of the system. Water quality stabilizers shall be added regularly to prevent scaling inside the pipeline from affecting heat transfer efficiency.
