Don't panic when there is abnormal noise from the ball press reducer! Quickly identify the type of fault
1. Gear malfunction and abnormal noise
Periodic impact sound/clicking sound: If you hear a crisp knocking sound related to rhythm and speed, it usually means that the gear has broken teeth, broken corners, or poor meshing.
Continuous rustling/friction sound: The volume increases with the increase of speed, which is often caused by gear tooth surface wear, insufficient lubrication, or tooth surface pitting (fatigue peeling).
High frequency screaming/whistling sound: It may be due to the gear axis not being parallel, tooth alignment error, or excessive tooth clearance, resulting in scratching or impact during meshing.
2. Bearing malfunction and abnormal noise
Irregular 'hula hula' sound: usually caused by damage to the bearing cage or improper clearance, resulting in irregular impact sounds.
Intermittent "clunking" sound: mostly caused by damage to the bearing rolling elements or defects in the raceway.
Sharp "sizzling" sound/continuous "rustling" sound: It is highly likely that the bearing is dry and worn due to lack of oil, wear on the raceway, or foreign objects are embedded inside.
3. Internal looseness or abnormal noise from foreign objects

Chaotic "clanging" sound: mostly caused by the loosening of internal components of the gearbox (such as the detachment of the shaft shoulder retaining ring, loose gear keyway, loose bolts, etc.).
Clear but irregular abnormal noise: It may be caused by the collision of small parts, metal fragments, and other foreign objects accidentally falling into the body during assembly.
4. Abnormal noise in the lubrication system
Dull "gurgling" sound: Often, it is not due to damaged parts, but rather due to insufficient oil level, oxidation and deterioration of oil, or blockage of oil circuit, which leads to ineffective lubrication of gears or bearings and generates dry friction noise.
