Case Study of Bearing Chamber Wear in BLY39-17-22KW Cycloid Needle Wheel Reducer
1. Wear Case of Bearing Chamber for Particle Machine Supporting Reducer
Background of working conditions: The BLY39-17-22KW cycloidal pinwheel reducer of a biomass pellet production enterprise is matched with a 132 kW sawdust granulator, which operates continuously under heavy load for 24 hours for a long time.
Fault phenomenon: Abnormal vibration and excessive bearing temperature occurred during equipment operation. After disassembly, it was found that the wear depth of the output end bearing chamber was about 1mm, and the bearing ran out of the outer ring with a clearance far exceeding the standard value.

Traditional repair limitations: Initially, attempts were made to repair the welding and machining process, but after only 2 months of operation, wear reappeared. Additionally, the thermal stress generated during the welding repair process resulted in slight deformation of the box, and the coaxiality could not meet the standard.
Final repair plan: Use a special wear-resistant repair agent for the bearing chamber for welding free repair, strictly follow the standardized process of oil baking, polishing, alcohol cleaning, blending and coating, and benchmark scraping. After repair, the bearing chamber size will be restored to the original factory tolerance range.
Repair effect: After the equipment was put back into operation, the vibration value was controlled within 0.05mm, and there was no secondary wear after 18 months of continuous operation. The comprehensive maintenance cost was only 1/5 of replacing the new box.
2. Emergency repair case of sudden wear and tear of supporting reducer for heavy-duty conveyor line
Working condition background: The BLY39-17-22KW cycloidal pinwheel reducer of a material conveying line in a chemical enterprise suddenly produced abnormal noise due to long-term impact load.
Fault inspection: Upon dismantling and inspection, it was confirmed that the bearing chamber was unevenly worn, with a wear amount of 1.2mm. At the same time, the coaxiality deviation of the bearing position was 0.12mm. If the entire machine is directly replaced, it will require a 7-day procurement cycle, which will result in the shutdown of the entire conveyor line.
Online repair implementation: Adopting ultra-high polymer carbon composite material technology for on-site disassembly free repair, relying on the positioning of the unworn reference surfaces at both ends of the bearing chamber to ensure 100% contact area after repair and achieve a "zero gap" fit.
Repair result: The entire repair process took only 4 hours, and the equipment ran smoothly after repair. The bearing temperature remained stable at around 45 ℃, and it has been running steadily for 2 years without similar faults.
