Precursor 1: The abnormal noise during operation gradually increases. The initial operation sound of the equipment is stable, but as the gears wear, subtle friction and whistling sounds will gradually appear. In the later stage, as the wear worsens, there will be collision sounds. This is the core signal of tooth surface wear and increased meshing clearance. If there is any abnormal noise, it is necessary to check the lubrication and gear status in a timely manner.

Precursor 2: Delayed discharge and insufficient power. Intermittent lagging, difficult feeding, and decreased grinding efficiency occur during grinding operations. After eliminating material blockages and motor failures, it is basically caused by gear wear and insufficient transmission torque. After the wear of the gear tooth surface, the meshing is not tight, the transmission slips, and the power transmission efficiency decreases significantly.

Precursor 3: Increased body vibration and soaring temperature. Unbalanced gear wear and unstable transmission operation can cause increased equipment vibration; At the same time, the frictional resistance increases, and the body temperature rises rapidly. Even with normal lubrication and no overload, high temperature overheating may occur.

Precursor 4: Lubricating oil quickly becomes dirty and metal debris appears. Slight wear of gears can produce metal powder, which can mix into lubricating oil, causing the engine oil to quickly become cloudy and blackened, and small metal debris to appear in the oil pan. If such a situation is found during regular oil changes, it indicates that the gears have worn out and need to be inspected and maintained in a timely manner.

If any of the above precursors occur, stop the machine in a timely manner for inspection, maintenance, and repair to avoid complete gear breakage and scrapping, causing greater equipment damage and economic losses.
