What are the causes of emergency shutdown for the H3SH series industrial gearboxes
The emergency shutdown of H3SH series industrial gearboxes is caused by five main reasons: mechanical damage, lubrication system failure, temperature/vibration exceeding limits, electrical and protection triggering, and abnormal external working conditions. The specific scenarios can be divided into the following:
1、 Malignant damage to core mechanical components
Gear tooth breakage/severe bonding: Large areas of tooth surface peeling, broken tooth fragments stuck in the meshing area, directly jamming the transmission chain and triggering emergency shutdown.
Complete bearing failure: The bearing cage shattered and the raceway peeled off extensively, causing the shaft system to lock and the gearbox to be unable to rotate.

Shaft bending/fracture: The input or output shaft is twisted and broken under impact load, completely interrupting the transmission path and forcing the equipment to stop.
2、 Complete failure of lubrication system
Low lubricating oil level/oil interruption: Oil pump failure, oil circuit blockage leading to oil supply interruption, instant loss of oil film protection between the mating surface and bearings, and rapid temperature rise due to dry friction causing jamming.
Serious contamination/deterioration of oil: A large amount of metal debris and water are mixed into the oil, causing complete loss of lubrication performance and leading to severe wear and jamming of components in a short period of time.
Lubrication and cooling system paralysis: scaling of the cooler, failure of the cooling fan, and a short-term surge in oil temperature above 90 ℃, triggering over temperature protection shutdown.
3、 Trigger protection when operating parameters exceed the limit
Severe temperature exceeding standard: The bearing seat temperature exceeds 90 ℃, and the overall oil temperature exceeds 85 ℃. The temperature control system triggers a chain emergency stop to prevent deformation of the casing and spontaneous combustion of lubricating oil.
Excessive vibration: When the effective value of the vibration speed exceeds 7.1mm/s, the vibration sensor triggers protection to prevent gears and bearings from breaking under severe resonance.
4、 Electrical and protection system triggering
Motor overload tripping: If the load continues to exceed the rated value by more than 1.2 times, the motor current will exceed the limit and trigger the heating protection, which will cause the gearbox to stop synchronously and urgently.
Active interlocking of monitoring system: The oil pressure, oil temperature, and vibration sensors matched with the gearbox trigger the preset shutdown threshold, and the PLC automatically issues an emergency shutdown command.
5、 Abnormal impact of external working conditions
Sudden impact load: Downstream loads cause material blockage and instantaneous impact, with peak torque far exceeding the rated load limit of the gearbox, directly breaking the transmission components and causing shutdown.
Complete failure of shaft alignment: foundation settlement, broken anchor bolts, severe displacement of motor and gearbox axis, transmission jamming triggering shutdown.
