Product Description

The YKS series high voltage three-phase induction motor was developed and introduced by our company back in the 1980s, with more than 30 years of development history. Driven by continuous upgrades in insulation materials, application of low-loss silicon steel sheets and iterative design optimization, the motor achieves reduced losses and higher power density. Drawing on over 60 years of experience in high voltage induction motor design and manufacturing, we completed the latest round of optimization to meet domestic and industrial market demands. Test results verify that this series reaches or approaches the world’s advanced level in both technical and economic performance. Mass-produced units have been supplied across China and exported to over 20 countries and regions covering Europe, America and Africa, earning consistent positive feedback from end users.

Manufactured with premium raw materials and mature production processes, this motor features high efficiency, low vibration, stable operation and convenient installation and maintenance.

Its power ratings, electrical characteristics, mounting dimensions and tolerances comply with GB755, IEC60034-1 and relevant machinery industry standards.

Five enclosure protection grades are available: IP23, IP44, IP54, IP55 and IP56, following GB4942.1 and IEC60034-5. IP23 models can be converted to IP44 with pipe ventilation or IPW24 climate resistant type. Custom protection classes are available upon request.

Three standard cooling configurations are offered: IC01, IC611 and IC81W in accordance with GB/T1993 and IEC60034-6. Alternative cooling schemes can be customized as required.

The basic construction and mounting form is IM B3 horizontal foot-mounted, complying with GB997 and IEC60034-7.

Based on rotor type, protection grade and cooling method, the product portfolio covers eight sub-series. Technical data and installation dimensions of the listed 10kV motors can be adapted for 3kV, 10.5kV and 11kV variants of the same frame size.

Application

This motor is designed to drive general industrial equipment including compressors, ventilation fans, water pumps, unloaders and conveying machinery. It serves as the prime mover widely used in mines, machinery plants, petrochemical facilities and power stations. For heavy inertia loads such as blowers, coal mills, rolling mills, crushers and belt conveyors, customers need to provide relevant technical data and sign a technical agreement with us for dedicated design to guarantee reliable operation.

Construction Description

Y and YR are base models with IP23 protection and IC01 cooling. Derivative types include YKS air-water cooled, YQF climate protected, YKK air-air cooled, YRKS, YRQF and YRKK motors with different protection and cooling combinations.

The motor adopts widely adopted box structure. Frame and end shields are steel plate welded for high rigidity and light weight. After removing the protective cover or cooler, internal components are accessible for inspection and maintenance. The stator uses outer pressing structure. Stator windings are made of Class F insulation and anti-corona materials, with winding terminals secured by special binding process. The whole stator undergoes VPI vacuum pressure impregnation with solventless Class F varnish to deliver reliable insulation, moisture resistance and impulse withstand capability.

Squirrel-cage rotors are mainly cast aluminum type with zero rotor bar breakage risk for stable service. Copper bar squirrel-cage rotors adopt advanced reliable welding and slot fixing technology. Wound rotors are insulated with Class F materials and also treated via VPI process.

Two bearing options are provided: rolling bearings and sleeve bearings, selected according to motor power and speed. Base bearing protection grade is IP44, upgraded accordingly for higher motor protection grades.

Versions fitted with rolling bearings are equipped with on-line oil filling and draining ports, enabling lubricant replacement without machine shutdown using special tools.

The main terminal box is sealed to IP54 standard. It is mounted on the non-drive side (viewed from shaft extension) by default and can be relocated to the opposite side on request. Cable entry directions can be adjusted upward, downward, left or right. Independent grounding terminals are built inside the terminal box.

Warranty Terms

Standard warranty: 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after shipment, whichever occurs earlier. Extended warranty is available upon separate inquiry.
