Product Description

The YKS high voltage three-phase induction motor was developed and launched by our company in the 1980s, with more than 30 years of iteration history. In recent years, upgraded insulation materials, low-loss silicon steel sheets and continuous design optimization effectively reduce various losses and increase motor power density. Drawing on our 60-year experience in high voltage induction motor R&D and manufacturing, we have completed the latest round of optimization design to meet domestic and industrial market demands. Test results show that the updated series achieves or approaches the world’s advanced level in both technical and economic performance. Mass production has been realized, and products are exported to more than 20 countries and regions including Europe, America, Africa, Hong Kong and Macao, as well as widely supplied across mainland China, winning consistent recognition from end users.

Manufactured with premium raw materials and mature production processes, this motor features high efficiency, energy saving, low vibration, stable operation and convenient installation and maintenance.

Its power ratings, electrical characteristics, mounting dimensions and tolerances conform to GB755 (Rotating electrical machines — Ratings and performance), IEC 60034-1 and relevant machinery industry standards.

According to GB4942.1 and IEC 60034-5, five enclosure protection grades are available: IP23, IP44, IP54, IP55 and IP56. IP23 version can be converted to IP44 (pipe ventilation type) or IPW24 (weather protected type). Custom protection grades can be supplied upon request.

Three standard cooling modes are provided in accordance with GB/T1993 and IEC 60034-6: IC01, IC611 and IC81W. Custom cooling configurations are also acceptable.

The basic construction and mounting form of this series is IM B3 (horizontal foot-mounted), complying with GB997 and IEC 60034-7 for rotating machine construction and mounting codes.

Based on rotor type, protection grade and cooling method, the product family is divided into 8 sub-series. All technical data and external mounting dimensions of 10kV motors listed in this catalog can be adapted for 3kV, 10.5kV and 11kV motors of corresponding frame sizes.

Application

This series drives general equipment such as compressors, fans, water pumps, metal cutting machines and conveying machinery. It serves as the prime mover for mines, machinery plants, petrochemical facilities, power plants and other industrial and mining sites.

For applications with large inertia loads including blowers, coal mills, rolling mills, crushers and belt conveyors, customers shall provide complete technical data and sign a technical agreement with us to support targeted design and guarantee reliable operation.

Construction Description

Y and YR are the base series with IP23 protection and IC01 cooling. Derivative models cover different protection and cooling schemes, including YKS (water-air cooled), YQF (weather protected), YKK (air-air cooled), YRKS, YRQF and YRKK motors.

This motor adopts a widely used box-type structure. The frame and end shields are steel plate welded, featuring high rigidity and light weight. After removing the protective cover or cooler, internal parts can be accessed directly for easy installation and inspection.

The stator adopts external pressing structure. Stator windings use F-class insulation and corona-resistant materials. Winding terminals are fixed with special reliable binding technology. The whole stator goes through VPI vacuum pressure impregnation with solventless F-class varnish, delivering reliable insulation, excellent moisture resistance and impulse resistance.

Most squirrel-cage rotors are cast aluminum type with proven service reliability. Copper bar squirrel-cage rotors adopt advanced welding technology and secure slot fixation. Wound rotors are equipped with F-class insulation and also processed by VPI impregnation.

Two bearing types are optional: rolling bearings and sleeve bearings, selected according to motor power and speed. The basic bearing protection grade is IP44; higher bearing protection will be matched for higher motor enclosure grades.

Models fitted with rolling bearings are equipped with on-line oil filling and draining fittings, allowing lubrication maintenance without shutdown.

The main terminal box is sealed (IP54 rated). It is normally mounted on the right side viewed from the drive end, and can be rearranged to the left side on request. Cable entry direction can be adjusted to top, bottom, left or right. An independent grounding terminal is built inside the box.

All measuring instruments and gauges are calibrated annually. Strict inspection is implemented for every component.

Every motor undergoes full testing before delivery, and a formal test report will be issued for qualified units.

Warranty Terms

Standard warranty: 12 months from commissioning or 18 months after shipment, whichever comes first. Extended warranty plan is available upon separate inquiry.
