Product Description

1. General Introduction

YJS series compact rib-cooled high voltage motors adopt robust cast iron housing. The standard configuration is totally enclosed fan cooled design with IC411 cooling system and IP55 protection grade; IC416 cooling system and optional IP66 protection grade are available upon request.
The power range of YJS series motors covers up to 2,250 kW with frame size up to 560. The motors support horizontal IM B3 or vertical IM V1 installation.
They can operate under 50 Hz and 60 Hz power supply, with synchronous speed ranging from 500 rpm to 3600 rpm, widely applicable for fan driving.

2. Mounting Arrangements

IM B3 / IM1001
Standard horizontal foot-mounted installation, mounting feet downward.

IM V1 / IM3011
Vertical flange-mounted installation, flange side and free shaft end facing downward (vertical solid shaft construction).
Applicable: 355kW 6000V IC411 High Voltage Fan Motor

3. Enclosure & Cooling System

IC411, IP55

Equipped with externally shaft-driven cooling fan, utilizing ambient air for heat dissipation.
The motor housing provides protection against dust ingress and water jets.

IC416, IP55

Optional independent external cooling fan driven by auxiliary motor. This design ensures sufficient cooling under low-speed working conditions, especially for motors operated with variable frequency drives.
Protection Grade Explanation
IP55
  • Dust protection: Limited dust ingress permitted; dust accumulation will not interfere with normal motor operation.
  • Water protection: Resists water jets sprayed from any direction without causing damage.
IP66 (Optional)
  • Dust protection: Completely dust-tight enclosure.
  • Water protection: Resists powerful water jets (12.5 mm nozzle) sprayed from all directions without harmful impact.
Working Principle of IC411 Cooling
  • Frame surface cooling: Heat inside the motor is transferred to surrounding ambient air through the motor outer housing surface (besides heat conduction via stator core and other conductive components). The housing adopts ribbed structure to enhance heat exchange efficiency.
  • Self-circulation cooling: Air circulation relies on motor rotation speed. Airflow is driven by the rotor or fan mounted directly on the rotor shaft.

4. Packaging

Standard export seaworthy package, available in plywood case or heat-treated fumigated wooden case.
Packaging adapts to long-distance sea and land transportation.

5. Warranty Terms

Standard warranty: 12 months from commissioning date or 18 months after delivery date, whichever occurs first.
