Product Overview
The
YJS series compact rib-cooled motors are engineered with a rugged cast
iron frame, offering exceptional durability and performance. Designed as
totally enclosed fan-cooled units, they come standard with IC411
cooling and IP55 protection. For specialized needs, the series also
supports IC416 cooling and an optional IP66 protection rating.
With
an output range covering up to 2,250 kW and shaft heights reaching
560mm, these versatile motors operate seamlessly at both 50Hz and 60Hz,
delivering synchronous speeds from 500 to 3600 rpm. They are ideal for
both horizontal (B3) and vertical (V1) mounting configurations.
Mounting Arrangements

IM B3 / IM 1001: Standard floor mounting with feet facing downwards (horizontal foot-mounted configuration).

IM V1 / IM 3011: Flange-mounted configuration with the flange and free shaft end facing downwards (vertical solid shaft).
Enclosure and Cooling Systems
IC411 / IP55 (Standard)
This
configuration utilizes an external shaft-mounted fan that draws
surrounding air for cooling. The IP55 rating ensures the motor is
protected against dust ingress in quantities that could interfere with
operation, as well as against water jets from any direction. The IC411
method relies on self-circulation, where the coolant is moved by the
rotational speed of the main motor via a directly mounted fan or pump
unit, transferring heat through the external ribbed surface to the
surrounding medium.
IC416 / IP55 (Optional)
For
low-speed applications, particularly when powered by a variable speed
drive, the IC416 cooling method is available. This system features an
additional independent motor driving the cooling fan to guarantee
consistent cooling performance regardless of the main motor's speed.
IP66 Protection (Optional)
For
harsh environments, the enclosure can be upgraded to IP66, providing
complete dust-tight sealing and protection against powerful water jets
(12.5 mm nozzle) from any direction.
Packaging and Logistics
To
ensure safe transit, all motors are shipped in standard seaworthy
packaging. Options include plywood or wooden fumigation packages, fully
suitable for long-distance transportation via sea or land.
Warranty Policy
The
standard warranty covers 12 months after commissioning or 18 months
after delivery, whichever occurs first. Extended warranty periods are
