1. Product Description
Modular
induction motors, type AMI, are engineered to deliver high reliability
and availability for the toughest and most demanding applications.
Built
on the industry's most successful modular platform, AMI motors are
tailor-made to meet specific customer and application requirements,
offering the flexibility to adapt to highly specific configurations.
These motors comply with all relevant international standards and are
available for both direct-on-line (DOL) and variable speed drive (VSD)
operation.
Featuring
a welded steel frame, AMI motors come standard with shaft heights from
400 to 630 mm and can be mounted horizontally or vertically. While the
catalog data primarily reflects 50 Hz specifications, these motors
operate seamlessly on both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with synchronous speeds
ranging from 500 to 3600 rpm. The outputs covered in this series reach
up to 8,000 kW, with the complete range extending up to 23,000 kW.

3. Enclosure and Cooling
IC01 / IP24 (Weather Protected)
This
design features an internal shaft-mounted cooling fan. The motor
structure minimizes the ingress of rain, snow, and airborne particles
into the electrical components. The air intake path maintains an average
velocity below 3 m/s to allow heavier particles to settle and includes
three acute direction changes (exceeding 90 degrees) to optimize airflow
reduction. The motor is protected against splashing water from any
direction.
IC611 / IP55 (Air-to-Air Cooled)
A
fully enclosed design equipped with a top-mounted air-to-air heat
exchanger. Shaft-mounted fans are installed both inside and outside the
casing to circulate air through the internal and external cooling
circuits, respectively. The motor provides robust protection against
dust and splashing water from any direction.
IC81W / IP55 (Air-to-Water Cooled)
This
fully enclosed motor utilizes an air-to-water heat exchanger. An
internal shaft-mounted fan circulates air within the casing for the
internal cooling circuit. It offers complete protection against dust
ingress and splashing water from any direction.
IC31 / IP55 (Remote Cooling)
This
version is equipped with inlet and outlet pipes designed for remote
cooling air systems. Structurally, it consists of the AMI motor frame
without an upper cover. The motor is protected against dust and
splashing water from any direction.
IC01 (Asymmetric)
Features an IC01 design with asymmetric internal air circulation.
4. Packaging

5. Warranty Period
