Product Description
1. Product Overview
The HXR 560 series rib cooled motors are built with a rugged cast iron frame and adopt a totally enclosed fan cooled design. The standard configuration includes IC411 cooling and IP55 protection. IC416 cooling and IP66 protection are available as optional configurations.
The HXR motor series covers an output range up to 2,250 kW and is available with a shaft height of 560 mm. The motors can be mounted horizontally or vertically, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
Technical data in the standard catalog is shown at 50 Hz, but the motors are designed to operate at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with synchronous speeds ranging from 500 to 3,600 rpm.
2. Mounting Arrangements
Standard mounting arrangements include:

IM B3 / IM 1001: Standard floor mounting with feet facing downwards for horizontal foot mounted installation.

IM V1 / IM 3011: Flange mounting with the free shaft end facing downwards for vertical solid shaft applications.
3. Enclosure and Cooling
IC411 / IP55
HXR motors are equipped with an external shaft mounted fan that uses surrounding air for cooling. The motors are protected against dust ingress and water jets.
IC416 / IP55
HXR motors are also available with IC416 cooling. An additional motor drives the cooling fan to provide sufficient cooling for low speed applications, especially when the motor is supplied by a variable speed drive.

IC411 Cooling Principle

The motor frame surface is cooled by circulating primary coolant in a closed circuit inside the motor. Heat is transferred through the external surface of the motor to the surrounding medium.

Coolant circulation is driven by the rotational speed of the main motor, either by the rotor itself or by a fan mounted directly on the rotor.
4. Packaging
Standard seaworthy packaging is provided for export, including plywood cases or wooden fumigation packages. The packaging is suitable for long distance transportation by sea or land.
5. Warranty
Standard warranty is 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after delivery, whichever occurs first. Extended warranty periods are available upon request.
