Product Description
1. Product Description
The HXR 560 series are rib-cooled high-voltage three-phase squirrel-cage induction motors. They feature a rugged cast-iron frame and a totally enclosed fan-cooled design. IC411 cooling and IP55 protection are provided as standard, while IC416 cooling and IP66 protection are available as options.
The HXR 560 motors support outputs up to 2,250 kW with a shaft height of 560 mm. They can be mounted horizontally or vertically and are suitable for constant-speed industrial applications. The motors are designed for both 50 Hz and 60 Hz operation, with synchronous speeds ranging from 500 to 3,600 rpm.
2. Mounting Arrangements

IM B3 / IM 1001: Standard floor mounting with feet facing downwards; horizontal foot-mounted installation.

IM V1 / IM 3011: Vertical mounting with the flange and free shaft end facing downwards; flange-mounted with solid shaft.
3. Enclosure and Cooling
IC411 / IP55
The motor uses an external shaft-mounted fan that draws surrounding air for cooling. The enclosure provides protection against dust ingress and water jets from any direction.
IC416 / IP55
An additional motor drives the cooling fan, making this configuration suitable for low-speed applications, especially when the motor is supplied by a variable speed drive.
IP55 Protection

Dust protected: limited dust ingress is possible but will not affect normal operation.

Water-jet protected: water projected from any direction has no harmful effect.
IP66 Protection

IC411 Cooling Principle
Heat is transferred from the internal circuit to the external frame surface, where it is dissipated into the surrounding air. Cooling air circulation is driven by the main motor rotor through a shaft-mounted fan.
4. Packaging
The motors are packed in standard seaworthy export packaging, including plywood cases or fumigated wooden cases, suitable for long-distance transportation by sea or land.
5. Warranty Period
Standard warranty: 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after delivery, whichever occurs first. Extended warranty options are available upon request.
