GOST 4AZM, also known as the YKS series high voltage three-phase induction motor, is a product independently developed and upgraded by our company based on technology introduced back in the 1980s, with more than 30 years of iterative development. In recent years, upgraded insulation materials, low-loss silicon steel sheets, improved protection grades and optimized design schemes have effectively cut various internal losses and raised motor power capacity. Drawing on our 60 years of experience in high voltage three-phase induction motor design and manufacturing, we have carried out the latest round of optimization to meet domestic and industrial market demands. Verified by tests, this new series reaches or approaches the world’s advanced level in both technical and economic performance. Mass production has been realized, and products are exported to more than 20 countries and regions covering Europe, America, Africa, Hong Kong, Macao and other areas, alongside widespread domestic application, winning consistent recognition from end users.

Manufactured with premium raw materials and mature processing techniques, this motor series features high efficiency, energy saving, low vibration, stable operation and simple installation and maintenance.

Its power ratings, electrical performance, mounting dimensions and tolerances comply with GB755 Rotating Electrical Machines — Rating and Performance, IEC 60034-1 Rotating Electrical Machines — Rating and Performance and relevant machinery industry standards.

Five enclosure protection grades are available for this motor series: IP23, IP44, IP54, IP55 and IP56, conforming to GB4942.1 and IEC 60034-5. IP23 motors can be converted to IP44 (pipe ventilation type) or IPW24 (climate-protected type). Custom protection grades are available upon request.

Three standard cooling options are supplied in line with GB/T1993 and IEC 60034-6: IC01, IC611 and IC81W. Alternative cooling modes can be customized according to customer requirements.

The standard construction and mounting arrangement is IMB3 (horizontal foot-mounted), complying with GB997 and IEC 60034-7.

Based on rotor type, protection class and cooling method, the series can be divided into eight sub-series. The technical data and overall installation dimensions listed for 10kV motors can be adapted to produce motors rated at 3kV, 10.5kV and 11kV with matching frame sizes.

Application

This high voltage motor is widely used to drive compressors, fans, water pumps, unloaders, conveyors and other general machinery. It serves as the prime mover for mines, machinery plants, petrochemical facilities, power plants and other industrial and mining enterprises.

For heavy inertia loads such as blowers, coal mills, rolling mills, crushers and belt conveyors, customers need to provide complete technical parameters and sign a technical agreement with us. This supports targeted customized design and guarantees reliable motor operation.

Construction Description

Y and YR are the base models with IP23 protection and IC01 cooling. Derivative variants cover multiple protection and cooling configurations, including YKS (air-water cooled), YQF (climate-protected), YKK (air-air cooled), YRKS, YRQF and YRKK motors.

This motor adopts the widely accepted box-type structure. The frame and end shields are steel plate welded, delivering high rigidity and low weight. After removing the protective cover or cooler, internal components can be inspected and accessed directly for easy installation and maintenance. The stator adopts an external pressing structure. Stator windings use Class F insulation and anti-corona materials. Winding terminals are fixed by reliable special binding procedures. The whole stator undergoes VPI vacuum pressure impregnation with solventless Class F varnish, offering outstanding insulation, moisture resistance and shock resistance.

Most squirrel-cage rotors in this series are cast aluminium type with a proven track record of no rotor fracture and dependable operation. Copper bar squirrel-cage rotors use advanced, high-reliability welding and slot fixation technology. Wound rotors are fitted with Class F insulation and also treated by VPI solventless varnish impregnation.

Two bearing types are optional: rolling bearings and sleeve bearings, selected according to motor power, speed and protection grade. The base bearing protection grade is IP44; bearing protection will be upgraded accordingly for higher motor enclosure grades.

Motors equipped with rolling bearings come with on-line oil filling and draining ports. Special tools allow grease replenishment and discharge without shutdown.

The main terminal box is sealed at IP54 protection. It is mounted on the right side facing the shaft extension and can be rearranged to the left side on request. Cable entry ports can be oriented upward, downward, left or right. An independent earthing terminal is fitted inside the box.

Test Items

Every motor must complete factory testing before shipment, and a formal test report will be issued for qualified units.

• Routine test: Winding three-phase DC resistance, winding insulation resistance to earth, winding withstand voltage test, no-load current, no-load power, no-load loss, three-phase no-load current unbalance, locked rotor current, locked rotor torque, maximum torque, rotation direction, vibration (horizontal / vertical / axial), noise

Warranty Period

Standard warranty: 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after delivery, whichever comes first. Extended warranty options are available upon inquiry.
