Product Description

GOST 4AZM, also known as the YKS series high voltage three-phase induction motor, was introduced and independently developed by our factory back in the 1980s, with over 30 years of iterative upgrade history. Thanks to continuous improvements in insulation materials, adoption of low-loss silicon steel sheets, upgraded protection grades and optimized electromagnetic design, this motor cuts various internal losses and raises power density. Drawing on our 60-year experience in high voltage induction motor R&D and manufacturing, we completed the latest round of optimization to match domestic and international market requirements. Type tests verify that the updated product series achieves or approaches world-class levels in both technical and economic performance. Mass production has been realized, and motors are widely supplied across China and exported to more than 20 countries and regions covering Europe, America, Africa and other areas, winning consistent recognition from end users.

Manufactured with premium raw materials and mature production processes, this motor features high efficiency, low vibration, stable operation and easy installation and maintenance. Its power ratings, electrical characteristics, mounting dimensions and tolerances conform to GB755 Rotating Electrical Machines – Ratings and Performance, IEC 60034-1 Rotating Electrical Machines – Ratings and Performance and relevant machinery industry standards.

This motor series offers IP23, IP44, IP54, IP55, IP56 enclosure protection grades complying with GB4942.1 and IEC 60034-5. IP23 motors can be modified into IP44 pipe ventilation type or IPW24 climate-resistant type. Custom protection grades are acceptable upon request. Standard cooling options are IC01, IC611 and IC81W as defined in GB/T1993 and IEC 60034-6. Other cooling modes can be customized according to customer requirements. The standard construction and mounting form is IMB3 horizontal foot-mounted, compliant with GB997 and IEC 60034-7 for construction and mounting type codes.

Based on rotor type, protection grade and cooling system, the series is divided into eight sub-series. The technical data and installation dimensions of 10kV motors listed in this catalogue can be adapted for 3kV, 10.5kV and 11kV variants of corresponding frame sizes.

Application

This high voltage motor is designed to drive general industrial equipment including compressors, fans, water pumps, chip removers and conveyors. It serves as the prime mover for mines, machinery plants, petrochemical facilities, power stations and other industrial and mining sites. For heavy inertia loads such as blowers, coal mills, rolling mills, crushers and belt conveyors, customers need to submit complete technical data and sign a technical agreement with us for targeted design to guarantee reliable operation.

Construction Description

Y and YR are the base models with IP23 protection and IC01 cooling. Derivative versions cover different protection and cooling configurations, including YKS air-water cooled, YQF climate-protected, YKK air-air cooled, YRKS, YRQF and YRKK motors. It adopts the widely accepted box-type welded steel frame and end shields, featuring high rigidity and low weight. After removing the protective cover or cooler, internal inspection and access are straightforward for installation and maintenance. The stator uses external core clamping structure. Stator windings use F-class insulation and anti-corona materials, with reliable special binding for terminal fixation. The whole stator undergoes F-class solventless VPI vacuum pressure impregnation, delivering dependable insulation, moisture resistance and surge withstand capability.

Squirrel-cage rotors are mainly cast aluminum design with proven service reliability free from breakage. Copper bar squirrel-cage rotors use high-standard welding and slot locking technology. Wound rotors are also insulated with F-class materials and processed via VPI impregnation.

Two bearing types are available: rolling bearings and sleeve bearings, selected according to motor power and speed. Basic bearing protection grade is IP44 and will be upgraded together with higher motor enclosure grades. Motors fitted with rolling bearings are equipped with on-line oil filling and draining fittings, allowing lubrication replenishment and discharge without shutdown.

The main terminal box is sealed to IP54. It is normally mounted on the right side viewed from the drive end and can be relocated to the left side as requested. Cable entry direction can be adjusted to top, bottom, left or right. An independent grounding terminal is arranged inside the terminal box.

Test Items

Every motor is fully tested before shipment. Delivery is only allowed after passing inspection, and a formal test report will be supplied for each unit.
