Product Description
The AMI type modular induction motors deliver outstanding reliability and stable performance for the harshest and most demanding industrial operating conditions.
Built on a proven mature modular motor platform, AMI motors can be custom‑tailored for individual customer requirements and application scenarios. They cover a wide range of demanding working conditions while maintaining high flexibility for special‑purpose configurations.
These modular induction motors comply with applicable international standards. They support both direct‑on‑line (DOL) startup and variable‑speed drive (VSD) operation.
AMI motors adopt welded steel frames. Standard available cooling‑protection combinations include IC01 / IP24W, IC611 / IP55 and IC81W / IP55. Frame shaft heights range from 400 mm to 630 mm. Both horizontal and vertical mounting options are supported.
While this catalogue displays technical data under 50 Hz only, AMI motors run on both 50 Hz and 60 Hz power supplies, with synchronous speeds ranging from 500 rpm to 3600 rpm. The power range shown in this document reaches up to 8000 kW; the full‑series maximum output can reach 23000 kW.
Mounting Arrangements
Two mounting configurations are provided as standard for AMI motors. Additional mounting forms are available upon customer request.

Enclosure and Cooling
IC01 / IP24
This weather‑protected motor is equipped with a shaft‑driven internal cooling fan. Its structural design limits ingress of rain, snow and airborne contaminants into electrical components. Air‑intake velocity is controlled below 3 m/s so heavy particles can settle naturally. Three sharp over‑90° direction changes inside the air‑inlet path further optimize airflow velocity. The motor offers protection against water splashes from all directions.
IC611 / IP55
This fully‑enclosed unit is fitted with an air‑to‑air heat exchanger. Shaft‑mounted internal and external fans serve the inner and outer cooling circuits separately. It provides full‑range protection against dust and omnidirectional splashing water.
IC81W / IP55
A fully‑enclosed motor equipped with an air‑to‑water heat exchanger. An internal shaft‑driven fan maintains the inner cooling loop. Dust‑proof and splash‑proof against water from all directions.
IC31 / IP55
Designed with dedicated air inlet and outlet pipes for remote cooling air supply. This variant uses the AMI motor frame without top cover. It achieves dust resistance and all‑direction splash‑water protection.
IC01
IC01 version with asymmetric internal air circulation.
Packaging
Export‑oriented standard seaworthy packing.
Options include plywood cases or fumigated wooden packages.
Well‑suited for long‑distance sea and land transportation.
Warranty Period
Standard warranty: 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after delivery, whichever occurs first.
