Product Description

AMI engineered modular induction motors deliver high reliability and availability for the most rigorous and demanding operating conditions. Custom‑built to satisfy individual customer and application requirements, these motors are developed on the industry’s proven modular platform. They fulfill a wide range of challenging application needs and can be flexibly configured for highly specific working scenarios.

These modular induction motors conform to relevant international standards, supporting both direct‑on‑line (DOL) and variable speed drive (VSD) operation.

The AMI motor features a welded steel frame. Standard available cooling‑protection combinations include IC01 / IP24W, IC611 / IP55 and IC81W / IP55. Standard shaft heights range from 400 mm to 630 mm. The motors support both horizontal and vertical mounting.

This catalogue lists technical data at 50 Hz only, while the motors are capable of running at 50 Hz or 60 Hz, with synchronous speeds ranging from 500 rpm to 3600 rpm. The power scope covered by this catalogue reaches up to 8,000 kW; the full product portfolio extends to 23,000 kW.

Enclosure and Cooling

IC01 / IP24 This weather‑protected motor is fitted with a shaft‑driven internal cooling fan inside the housing. Its structural design minimizes ingress of rain, snow and airborne particles into electrical components. Air intake velocity is controlled below 3 m/s to allow heavy particles to settle. The air passage adopts three sharp turns over 90° to further optimize airflow. The motor is resistant to splashing water from all directions.

IC611 / IP55 This fully‑enclosed motor is equipped with an air‑to‑air heat exchanger. Shaft‑driven fans are installed inside and outside the frame for internal and external cooling circuits respectively. It provides protection against dust and omnidirectional splashing water.

IC81W / IP55 This totally enclosed motor is fitted with an air‑to‑water heat exchanger. A shaft‑mounted internal fan drives the inner cooling circuit. It provides protection against dust and omnidirectional splashing water.

IC31 / IP55 This configuration comes with inlet and outlet pipes for remote cooling air supply, essentially an AMI motor frame without top cover. It provides protection against dust and omnidirectional splashing water.

IC01 features asymmetric internal air circulation.

Packaging

Standard export‑grade seaworthy packing: plywood case or fumigated wooden case, suitable for long‑distance sea and land transportation.

Warranty Period
