High Reliability and Availability
AMI
engineered modular induction motors are designed to provide exceptional
reliability and availability in the toughest and most demanding
applications. These motors are tailor-made to meet the specific needs of
each customer, built upon the motor industry's most successful modular
platform. They offer the flexibility to be adapted to highly specific
configurations while matching a broad variety of industrial
requirements.
AMI modular induction motors comply with all relevant international standards. Versions are available for both direct-on-line (DOL) and variable speed drive (VSD) operation.

Mounting Arrangements
Standard mounting arrangements for AMI motors include:

️ Enclosure and Cooling Methods
The AMI series is available with various cooling methods and protection types to suit different environmental conditions:
IC01 / IP24 (Weather Protected)
This
motor features a shaft-mounted cooling fan inside the housing. The
design reduces the ingress of rain, snow, and airborne particles into
electrical parts.

Air Intake: Designed with three acute direction changes (exceeding 90 degrees) to ensure average velocity does not exceed 3 m/s, allowing heavier particles to settle.

Protection: Protected against splashing water from any direction.
IC611 / IP55 (Air-to-Air Heat Exchanger)
A fully enclosed design featuring an air-to-air heat exchanger mounted on the motor.

Cooling: Shaft-mounted fans are fitted both inside and outside the casing to supply separate cooling circuits.

Protection: Protected against dust and splashing water from any direction.
IC81W / IP55 (Air-to-Water Heat Exchanger)
A fully enclosed motor fitted with an air-to-water heat exchanger.

Cooling: A shaft-mounted fan is fitted inside the casing to supply the internal cooling circuit.

IC31 / IP55 (Remote Cooling Air)
This version is fitted with inlet and outlet pipes to utilize remote cooling air.
