Solutions for Excessive Lubricant Oil Temperature in Non-Standard Gearbox Lubrication Systems Due to Insufficient Lubricant Volume
1、 Emergency response: Quickly replenish oil and restore lubrication
1. Check the oil level after cooling down: Stop the machine for more than 30 minutes, wait for the oil temperature to drop to around 35 ℃, calibrate the levelness of the reducer with a spirit level (error ≤ 0.1mm/m), and confirm the true oil level through an oil mirror, dipstick, or oil level check plug to avoid false high misjudgment caused by thermal oil expansion.
2. Accurately add lubricating oil of the same brand: add oil to the range of 1/2~2/3 of the oil mark, and the splash lubrication model ensures that the oil immersion depth of the large gear is 1-2 tooth heights; The non-standard model installed vertically has a 30% increase in fuel consumption compared to the horizontal model, ensuring that the high-level bearings and small gears can be submerged in oil.
3. Emergency oil replenishment for forced lubrication system: For circulating lubrication models with oil pumps, first clean the filter screen that is blocked at the inlet of the oil pump. After replenishing the oil, manually turn the machine 3-5 times to confirm that there is no air resistance in the oil circuit and that there is oil flowing out of each lubrication point to avoid local dry friction.
2、 Root cause of oil shortage: eliminate repeated oil shortages
1. Check the leakage points of the seal: Check the joint surface of the shaft end oil seal and the box body. Replace the aging and failed fluororubber/nitrile rubber oil seal directly. If there is leakage on the joint surface, apply Loctite 515 oil resistant sealant to block it, and prevent abnormal loss of lubricating oil from the source.
2. Clearing the pressure balance structure: Clean the blocked breathing valve at the top of the box to prevent the lubricating oil from being squeezed out from the weak seal due to excessive pressure inside the box, reducing the risk of oil leakage from the pressure level.
3. Establish an oil level inspection mechanism: visually check the oil level through an oil mirror every 7 days, shorten the inspection cycle to 3 days under heavy load and high dust conditions, detect the downward trend of the oil level in advance, and avoid the oil level falling below the safe lower limit.
3、 Synchronous cooling: rapidly reducing the excessive oil temperature
1. Cleaning passive heat dissipation structure: Thoroughly remove oil stains and dust on the surface of the heat dissipation fins of the box, ensure that a ventilation space of ≥ 30cm is reserved around, and avoid the insulation layer obstructing natural convection heat dissipation.
2. Activate forced cooling device: For models with a water cooling system, clear the cooling pipeline and adjust the cooling water flow to a inlet temperature of ≤ 25 ℃; Check the speed of the cooling fan for air-cooled models to ensure that the wind speed is ≥ 5m/s and quickly remove heat from the box.
3. Short term load reduction temperature control: When the oil temperature exceeds 85 ℃, temporarily reduce the load operation by 20%~30% to avoid gear and bearing surface adhesion and bearing burnout under the dual working conditions of oil shortage and high temperature.

4、 Subsequent verification: Confirm that the fault has been completely eliminated
After refueling and cooling down, run without load for 30 minutes, and then run with load for 2 hours. If the following conditions are met, normal operation will resume:
1. The oil temperature remains stable within the range of 40 ℃~65 ℃, and the temperature rise does not exceed 40 ℃;
2. There is no abnormal whistling or shaking in the gear and bearing parts;
3. There are no new leakage points on each sealing surface, and the oil level remains stable within the standard range.
