1. Product Overview
The AMI series modular induction motors are engineered to provide high reliability and availability in the toughest and most demanding industrial applications. Built on the motor industry's most successful modular platform, these tailor-made motors match a broad variety of application requirements while offering the flexibility to be adapted to highly specific configurations. They comply with all relevant international standards and are available for both direct-on-line (DOL) and variable speed drive (VSD) operation.

Key features include:

Robust Construction: Welded steel frame with standard shaft heights from 400 to 630 mm.
Versatile Operation: Capable of horizontal or vertical mounting.
Broad Frequency Range: Designed for both 50 Hz and 60 Hz operation, with synchronous speeds ranging from 500 to 3600 rpm.
Extensive Power Range: Catalog outputs up to 8,000 kW, with the complete range extending up to 23,000 kW.

2. Mounting Arrangements
Standard mounting options include:

IM B3 (Code II: IM 1001): Horizontal foot mounted.
IM V1 (Code II: IM 4011): Vertical flange mounted (free shaft end facing downwards).

3. Enclosure and Cooling Options
The AMI motors are available with multiple cooling and protection configurations to suit various environments:

IC01 / IP24 (Weather Protected): Features a shaft-mounted cooling fan inside the housing. The air intake path is designed with three acute direction changes exceeding 90 degrees and an average velocity not exceeding 3 m/s. This allows heavier particles to settle, effectively reducing the ingress of rain, snow, and airborne particles while protecting against splashing water from any direction.
IC611 / IP55 (Air-to-Air Cooled): A fully enclosed design with an air-to-air heat exchanger. Shaft-mounted fans are fitted both inside and outside the casing to supply separate cooling circuits, providing full protection against dust and splashing water.
IC81W / IP55 (Air-to-Water Cooled): A fully enclosed motor equipped with an air-to-water heat exchanger. An internal shaft-mounted fan supplies the internal cooling circuit, offering complete protection against dust and splashing water.
IC31 / IP55 (Remote Air Cooled): Fitted with inlet and outlet pipes for remote cooling air. This version consists of the AMI motor frame without an upper cover, maintaining protection against dust and splashing water.
IC01 (Asymmetric Circulation): Features IC01 cooling with asymmetric inside air circulation.

4. Packaging
All motors are shipped in standard seaworthy packaging suitable for long-distance transportation by sea or land. Options include plywood packages or wooden fumigation packages.

5. Warranty
The standard warranty is 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after delivery, whichever comes first. Extended warranty periods are available upon request; please contact us for further details.
