Engineered for Reliability and Versatility
The
AMI series modular induction motors are meticulously engineered to
deliver exceptional reliability and availability in the most demanding
and toughest industrial applications. Built upon the industry's most
successful modular platform, these motors are tailor-made to meet
specific customer needs. They offer the flexibility to be adapted into
highly specific configurations while matching a broad variety of
rigorous application requirements.
Compliant
with all relevant international standards, AMI motors are available for
both Direct-On-Line (DOL) and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) operations.
Featuring a robust welded steel frame, the standard shaft heights range
from 400 to 630 mm, and they can be mounted either horizontally or
vertically. While standard catalog data is often presented at 50 Hz,
these motors are fully operational at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, providing
synchronous speeds from 500 to 3600 rpm. The cataloged output powers
reach up to 8,000 kW, with the complete range extending up to an
impressive 23,000 kW.

AMI motors come with standard mounting configurations, with custom options available upon request:

Enclosure and Cooling Systems
The AMI series offers versatile cooling and protection options to suit diverse environmental conditions:

IC01 / IP24 (Weather Protected): Features a shaft-mounted cooling fan inside the housing. The air intake
path is designed with three acute direction changes exceeding 90
degrees and maintains an average velocity below 3 m/s. This allows
heavier airborne particles to settle, effectively reducing the ingress
of rain, snow, and dust, while protecting against splashing water from
any direction.

IC611 / IP55 (Air-to-Air Heat Exchanger): A fully enclosed design utilizing an air-to-air heat exchanger.
Shaft-mounted fans are fitted on both the inside and outside of the
casing to supply independent cooling circuits. Provides complete
protection against dust and splashing water.

IC81W / IP55 (Air-to-Water Heat Exchanger): A fully enclosed motor equipped with an air-to-water heat exchanger. An
internal shaft-mounted fan supplies the internal cooling circuit,
ensuring robust protection against dust and splashing water.

IC31 / IP55 (Remote Cooling Air): Fitted with inlet and outlet pipes for remote cooling air. This version
essentially consists of the AMI motor frame without an upper cover,
maintaining IP55 protection against dust and splashing water.

IC01 (Asymmetric Circulation): Features an asymmetric inside air circulation design for specialized cooling requirements.
Packaging and Transportation
To
ensure safe transit, all motors are shipped in standard seaworthy
export packaging. Options include plywood or wooden fumigation packages,
making them perfectly suitable for long-distance transportation by sea
or land.
Warranty Information

Standard Warranty: 12 months after commissioning, or 18 months after delivery, whichever occurs first.
