II. Product Description

The AXR series is the latest generation of multi-purpose rib-cooled high voltage three-phase induction motors, integrating years of electric motor manufacturing experience. It features core advantages of high power density, flexible configuration, and easy maintenance, setting an industry benchmark for rib-cooled motors and achieving a higher power-to-weight ratio than any previous rib-cooled motor design.

The high power density means that for the same output power, you can often choose a motor one frame size smaller than conventional products, greatly saving installation space and fitting compact installation scenarios. The entire series complies with mainstream industry standards such as API 541 and Shell DEP, and also supports customized technical specifications per customer requirements.

The entire series adopts a rugged cast iron frame, with standard IC411 self-fan cooling and IP55 protection rating. Optional configurations include IC416 independent fan cooling and IP66 protection rating (the IP66 protection capability has been verified by an authoritative third-party testing organization). The motor series covers an output range up to 1800kW, with shaft heights from 315 to 500mm. It supports both horizontal and vertical mounting, is compatible with 50Hz/60Hz power frequency, and covers a full synchronous speed range of 500-3600rpm.

III. Mounting Arrangements

Standard mounting arrangements for AXR series motors are as follows:

IM B3 (IM 1001): Standard horizontal foot mounting with feet facing downwards, suitable for horizontal installation scenarios;
IM V1 (IM 4011): Vertical flange mounting with the flange and free shaft end facing downwards, suitable for vertical installation scenarios;
IM B35 (IM 2001): Horizontal & vertical dual-purpose foot-and-flange mounting, with the flange integrated into the end shield, equipped with a single cylindrical shaft extension and feet facing downwards, suitable for multi-scenario installation requirements.

IV. Enclosure & Cooling System

(1) Standard Cooling/Protection Combinations

1. IC411 + IP55 (Standard)

The motor is equipped with an externally mounted shaft-driven fan that uses ambient air for cooling. It effectively protects against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, and its operating principle complies with standard rib-cooled motor design specifications.

IP55 Protection Capability: Allows a small amount of dust to enter the enclosure but will not affect normal motor operation; can withstand water spray from nozzles in any direction with no harmful effects.

2. IC416 + IP55 (Optional)

Equipped with an independently motor-driven cooling fan that provides sufficient cooling air volume for low-speed operating scenarios, especially suitable for low-speed applications powered by variable frequency drives (VFDs).

3. IP66 Protection (Optional)

Dust Protection: The enclosure is completely dust-tight with no dust ingress;
Water Protection: Can withstand powerful water jets from a 12.5mm nozzle in any direction with no harmful effects.

(2) Cooling Principle (IC411)

Frame Surface Cooling: The primary coolant circulates in a closed circuit inside the motor, transferring heat to the external environment coolant through the outer surface of the frame (including the stator core and other thermally conductive components). The frame surface features a ribbed design to significantly improve heat dissipation efficiency;
Self-Circulation Cooling: The circulation of the coolant is driven by the motor rotor speed, realized through rotor-mounted cooling components or a fan directly connected to the rotor, requiring no additional power source.

V. Packaging & Warranty

Packaging: Standard export seaworthy packaging is adopted, with optional plywood cases or fumigated wooden cases. It fully meets long-distance sea and land transportation requirements, effectively protecting against bumps, moisture, and other issues during transit;
Warranty: The standard warranty period is 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after delivery (whichever comes first). Extended warranty periods are available; please contact us to discuss specific plans if needed.
