AMI series are engineered modular induction motors featuring high reliability and availability, designed for the most rigorous and demanding operating conditions. Custom‑tailored configurations are available to satisfy individual customer and application requirements.
Built upon a proven mature modular motor platform, AMI motors can fulfil diverse demanding working conditions and support highly‑customized mechanical & electrical configurations. The whole series complies with relevant international standards, supporting both direct‑on‑line (DOL) startup and variable speed drive (VSD) operation.
AMI motors adopt welded steel frames. Standard combinations of cooling system and protection class include: IC01 / IP24W, IC611 / IP55, IC81W / IP55. Standard shaft heights cover 400 mm to 630 mm. Both horizontal and vertical mounting modes are supported.
This catalogue provides technical data under 50 Hz condition only; nevertheless, these motors can run at either 50 Hz or 60 Hz, with synchronous speed ranging from 500 rpm to 3600 rpm. The power scope listed in this catalogue reaches up to 8000 kW, while the full product portfolio can achieve maximum output power of 23000 kW.

This weather‑proof motor is equipped with a shaft‑driven internal cooling fan. Its structural design minimizes ingress of rain, snow and airborne particles into electrical components.
For air intake channels, the average airflow velocity is limited within 3 m/s so that heavy particles can settle down. The air passage contains three sharp bends over 90°, further optimizing airflow rate. The motor is resistant to water splashes from all directions. It features asymmetric internal air circulation.
Totally‑enclosed construction fitted with an on‑board air‑to‑air heat exchanger. Shaft‑driven fans are installed inside and outside the housing to drive internal and external cooling circuits separately. It provides protection against dust and omnidirectional splashing water.
Fully‑enclosed motor configured with air‑to‑water heat exchanger. One shaft‑mounted internal fan circulates air for inner cooling loop. Dust‑proof and splash‑proof against water coming from any direction.
Equipped with air inlet and outlet pipes for remote forced cooling air supply. This variant is based on AMI motor frame without top cover. It achieves protection against dust and splashing water from all directions.
Export‑oriented standard seaworthy packing is adopted, including plywood case or fumigated wooden case, suitable for long‑distance sea and land transportation.
