Product Description
1. Modular Induction Motors (AMI Series)
AMI
engineered modular induction motors are designed to provide superior
reliability and availability in the toughest and most demanding
applications. Built on the motor industry's most successful modular
platform, these tailor-made motors match a broad variety of requirements
and can be adapted to highly specific configurations. Complying with
all relevant international standards, AMI motors are available for both
direct-on-line (DOL) and variable speed drive (VSD) operation.
These
motors feature a welded steel frame and are available with shaft
heights ranging from 400 to 630 mm. They can be mounted horizontally or
vertically. While this catalog highlights technical data at 50 Hz, the
motors operate at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with synchronous speeds ranging
from 500 to 3600 rpm. Output powers covered in this catalog reach up to
8,000 kW, with the complete range extending up to 23,000 kW.
2. Mounting Arrangements
Standard mounting arrangements for AMI motors include:

Code I: IM B3 / Code II: IM 1001: Horizontal foot mounted.

Code I: IM V1 / Code II: IM 4011: Vertical flange mounted (free shaft end facing downwards).

3. Enclosure and Cooling Systems

IC01 / IP24: This weather-protected motor features a shaft-mounted cooling fan
inside the housing. The air intake path is designed with three acute
direction changes exceeding 90 degrees, ensuring the average velocity
does not exceed 3 m/s. This allows heavier particles to settle and
reduces the ingress of rain, snow, and airborne particles, protecting
against splashing water from any direction.

IC611 / IP55: A fully enclosed design equipped with an air-to-air heat exchanger.
Shaft-mounted fans are fitted both inside and outside the casing to
supply the respective cooling circuits. It provides complete protection
against dust and splashing water from any direction.

IC81W / IP55: A fully enclosed motor fitted with an air-to-water heat exchanger. An
internal shaft-mounted fan supplies the internal cooling circuit,
ensuring protection against dust and splashing water.

IC31 / IP55: This version includes inlet and outlet pipes for remote cooling air.
Essentially, it is the AMI motor frame without an upper cover, fully
protected against dust and splashing water.

IC01 (Asymmetric): Features IC01 cooling with asymmetric inside air circulation for optimized thermal management.
4. Packaging
We
provide standard seaworthy packages for export, utilizing plywood or
wooden fumigation packages. These are specifically designed to be
suitable for long-distance transportation by sea or land.
5. Warranty Period
The
standard warranty is 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after
