GOST 4AZM, also known as YKS series high voltage three-phase induction motor, is an in-house developed product first introduced in the 1980s with over 30 years of iteration history. Benefiting from upgraded insulation materials, low-loss silicon steel sheets, enhanced protection grades and continuous design optimization, this motor achieves reduced power loss and higher power density. Combining our 60 years of experience in high voltage induction motor design and manufacturing, we have completed the latest round of optimization to satisfy domestic and international market demands. Test results verify that this new series reaches or approaches global advanced levels in both technical and economic performance. Mass production has been realized, and products are exported to more than 20 countries and regions covering Europe, America, Africa, Hong Kong, Macao and other areas, earning consistent positive feedback from end users.
Manufactured with premium raw materials and mature production processes, this series features high efficiency, energy saving, low vibration, stable operation and easy installation & maintenance.
Its power ratings, electrical characteristics, mounting dimensions and tolerances comply with GB755, IEC 60034-1 and relevant machinery industry standards.
Five enclosure protection classes are available: IP23, IP44, IP54, IP55 and IP56, conforming to GB4942.1 and IEC 60034-5. IP23 version can be converted to IP44 (pipe ventilation) or IPW24 (climate resistant type). Custom protection classes are available upon request.
Three standard cooling configurations are optional as per GB/T1993 and IEC 60034-6: IC01, IC611 and IC81W. Alternative cooling modes can be customized for special requirements.
The standard construction and mounting form is IMB3 (horizontal foot-mounted), complying with GB997 and IEC 60034-7.
Based on rotor type, protection grade and cooling system, the product family is divided into 8 sub-series. Technical data and installation dimensions of 10kV motors in this catalogue can be adapted for 3kV, 10.5kV and 11kV variants of corresponding frame sizes.
This series is widely used to drive compressors, fans, water pumps, feeders, conveyors and other general machinery. It serves as the prime mover for mines, machinery, petrochemical plants, power stations and other industrial & mining facilities. For loads with large inertia such as blowers, coal mills, rolling mills, crushers and belt conveyors, customers need to provide complete technical data and sign a technical agreement with us for customized design to guarantee reliable operation.
Y and YR are the base series with IP23 protection and IC01 cooling. Derivative models include YKS (air-water cooled), YQF (climate protection), YKK (air-air cooled), YRKS, YRQF and YRKK with different protection and cooling schemes.
Adopting the popular modular box structure, the frame and end shield are steel plate welded for high rigidity and light weight. After removing the cooler or protective cover, internal inspection is accessible, which simplifies on-site installation and maintenance. The stator adopts external pressing structure. Stator winding uses class F insulation and anti-corona materials, with reliable special binding for terminal fixation. The whole stator goes through VPI vacuum pressure impregnation with solventless class F varnish, delivering outstanding insulation, moisture resistance and shock resistance.
Most squirrel cage rotors are cast aluminum type with proven zero breakage risk for stable running. Copper bar squirrel cage rotors adopt advanced reliable welding and slot fastening technology. Wound rotors also apply class F insulation and VPI treatment.
Bearings are available in rolling bearing and sleeve bearing types, selected according to motor power, speed and protection grade. Higher protection grades come with matched upgraded bearing sealing. Rolling bearing versions are equipped with on-line oil filling and draining fittings for maintenance without shutdown.
The main terminal box is sealed with IP54 protection, normally fitted on the non-drive side (viewed from shaft extension), and can be switched to the opposite side as requested. Cable entry direction can be adjusted to top, bottom, left or right. Independent grounding terminal is built inside the box.

Every motor undergoes full testing before shipment and comes with an official test report once qualified. Routine test: Winding DC resistance, insulation resistance to ground, high voltage withstand test, no-load current, no-load power, no-load loss, three-phase current unbalance, locked rotor current, locked rotor torque, maximum torque, rotation direction, vibration (horizontal, vertical, axial), noise.
Type test: Full load input power, full load current, stator copper loss, rotor loss, iron loss, mechanical loss, stray loss, full load slip, stator winding temperature rise, bearing temperature, hot insulation resistance, overload test, full load power factor, efficiency.
Standard warranty: 12 months after commissioning OR 18 months after delivery, whichever occurs first. Extended warranty is available upon inquiry.
